You can kill the five small golems before taking the items, take the items the iron golem isn't guarding, and use them against him. (Each item will awaken only two of the golems, the others won't attack unless you attack them.)

    Worst: Jester or Beastmaster

Best: Assassin for this game due to the lack of thieves available, but most classes and sub-classes are good. The two I mentioned are particularly useless though.

Hmm I gotta agree with the mean on worse, Beastmaster and jesters are awful!

Best are Assisians, Archers, Cavilers, and kensai.

for me the best is the undead hunter they are handy against the army of undead since they are immune to level drain

the worst yes i agree the jester dont seem it would be handy for any thing or is it the totemic druid?

The best kit is the kit played by the best player, seriously most kits are just as good as others. Although maybe the beastmaster is a weak one :( The list of good kits is just too long

Best and Worst kits depend on your playing style. For example, I don't use traps, so I don't like bounty hunters much. The Beastlord seems to be the most underpowered of all of them, but if you're an animal lover or want a challenge, why not?

[IMG] So there's the challenge: roll up a party of six Beastmasters and see how far you get!

@buddas hand... the wizard-slayer is the best class in the game... some examples...

    1. Jon Irencius... he is a meat-loaf every time i meets him...

    2. Dragons... the 10% culmanite<sp> spell failure works on them too...

    3. Bodhi... she casts spells too... use negative plane protection from Viconia on your Wizard-Slayer and Bodhi is back in the grave(again)...

    4. all the Liches... they are mages like everyone else(that is a mage)...

    5. the potion problem gets fixed in TOB(not sure if this is allowed to say... if so... sorry Taluntian)...

you are just sad couse your illusionist gets kicked up in the wall and eaten by my Wizard-Slayer...

    Summary:

    The best - Wizard-Slayer

    The worst - Jester

    The overpowered - Monk

    The underpowered - Beast Master

i would have to say tht the worst is the beast master and the jester. some may like the wizard slayer but i hate him... i like to be able to have my items able to make me caste lots of spells. and i cant do tht with wiz slayer.

NOW the best ( in my view )would have to be the ass kickin assasin . i like the mages and such but i hate having to spend my presious ass kickin time to put up my protective magics and defensives. and to kill a mage al i have to do i 1 backstab and a follow up with 1-2 attacks from my assasin.wich happens to do 25-30 damage per hit . . . ( tob ) even with out tht back stab and have a invible fighter ready to go... ( potion of invi. /ring air control etc. )

[IMG] The best kit (or class) is definitely the sorcerer, especially in TOB. The worst is the bard (all of them. I find barbarians pretty useless, especially because berserkers have about the same job.

there are no best or worst for me... just favorites. and that i haven't played every kit or class either.

my choices are archer (only elves can be archers in my games  ) and undead hunter as my favorites. i love sneaking and sniping the enemies with my archer, and i couldn't think of anyone better to dance with those undead than the undead hunter (and because i hate level/ability drain :shake: ).

starting to enjoy inquisitor by using keldorn more often, i usually send him home early in the game.

i see a number of you hate the jester, i have a jester in my party (although not the protagonist, multi-game). she's doing great. i love using her to pickpockets. and so yoshimo can concentrate on trap detection and disarming, stealth, and open locks (setting traps and detect illusions... i can do without them). personally, i think if you enjoyed a bard, you should enjoy a jester because the only difference between the two is the effect of the their song. bards make your party more effective while jesters make your enemies inneffective.

mage... i never used any of it's kit or the sorcerer either. i have never learned to exploit the ability of a mage to the fullest, my playing style does not suit a mage class. to me they play secondary roles. but it's a very good class.

kensai... very good class but i feel that it's such a shame that he could not use the many good defensive items. so i stopped using it.

swashbuckler... i stop the game for the excitement of being able to backstab. :bang:

never played monk, druid, barbarian, and any cleric kit (played cleric as dualed from fighter... nice character).

    @noir:
Try soloing a specialist mage, that way you can't use him as a secondary character.

Barbarian practically the same as the berserker? You have got to be kidding me! Barbarian is far more powerful!
    1) Barbarians don't kill your own party members when they rage, nor do they lose their temporary hitpoints after raging, nor do they become winded.
    2) Immune to backstab
    3) 20% resistance to every kind of weapon damage, with the defender of easthaven that becomes 40%
    4) More hp's
    5) Can use ranged weapons

And at what penalty? No plate mail armor? So you have to wear shadow armor instead, big deal with the more hp's, and weapon resistances
