Yes. If you like the d20 system that Wotc used for D&D, you'll love Pathfinder. They just upgraded/changed some annoying parts of the rules.

It takes 2 steps forwards, and one step back. Its riddled with classfeats and whatsnot, and your character ends up pretty uber after just a few levels.

It is easy enough to backtrack away from the classfeats though. Just pick and choose what you like and don't like.

I like it a lot, and it is my preferred D&D-esque system at the moment. It manages to reform 3.5 somewhat, but still keeps it similar to what it used to be. It is often called "D&D 3.75" and not without a reason. It has a lot of changes, some obvious, some less so, but it's still D&D.

Their feat and traits database appears huge, but that's because it has nearly everything from every supplement (and they make quite a few of those. This may cause some creep issues with new material being better than the old, but so far it isn't particularly dangerous. It's a bit clunky, but imo manageable - and besides, you can do well enough with just the Corebook and the Advanced Player's Guide.
