    This drawing came along by accident. As I was arranging my basement studio I found a brown piece of paper and tacked it to the wall.

    When I was looking through some photographs I found one of my niece and told her it would make a great painting. With all the enthusiasm of a girl her age she said, "Why don't you then?" After very little consideration I said , "O.K. , I will.

    So I had the paper on the wall, I had an image to put on it. I didn't know what medium to use. I found some pastels in my drawers of art supplies and started drawing. And this is what came out.

    And I am still going to make a painting but I enjoyed the drawing.
