fair enough, i always thought that you got the wave blade from killing the prince and the rod from the treasury if you sided with the king. then again, i dont think that i have ever sided with the king.

This is more of a SOA tip, but if you

-have a monk with very high stats
-don't have a certain fixpack installed
-don't mind borrowing something from a noble paladin

you can have a monk with some very good armor very early on in the game.

I go with Cloak of the Sewers, Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Earth, boots that help reduce AC, etc...

I never use any weapons with my Monk. To me it is a waste of a weapon.

I would try to start from BG1 and play through BG2 with your character. This way if you started in BG1 with a 18 Strenght your Monk will be very powerful by the start of BG2. Add in the fact that your Monk will also start off as a higher level than the standard BG2.

    I won't be using Keldorn's armor for 2 reasons:

    1) he's in my party
    2) I have Baldurdash

I don't have Tutu/Easy Tutu (sorry MacReady) and never will. Even the lure of the Tab function doesn't hook me.

    My monk's stats are:
    S 18
    D 18
    C 16
    I 13
    W 15
    Ch 10
