[IMG] Have you ever tried to go on@chap II without getting the components to Oswald's mending spell?
What happens to plot if he can't leave with his broken airship? I'm just asking for interest.

I believe Nathaniel will just tell you he will have to help Oswald get his ship going after you get through the Ice Temple to the point where you are ready to move on to chap 3.

He will just somehow fix his ship and leave once you destroy the glacier wall even if you don't help him. If you return to his ship after that you will find his goodbye note and a present (a potion of greater resistance iirc).

Do you get more exp if you get the components for the spell? I don't remember any more how it actually went.

Yeah you get more XP if you get it repaired. Also Oswald will now make stuff from Beetle Shell or pelts. The armour he makes from boring beetle shell is light weight and perhaps the best you van get at that point of time.

Shrikant, the beetle armor is absolutely the best armor you can find early in the game, probably until you meet the underdark merchants.

Hell, the fact that it's soooo lightwieght, makes it some of the best armor in the entire game, for medium or less STR clerics who are stressed to use the rather heavy, best AC heavy armors. These beetle armors may not have the AC's of the very best armors, but if you don't have an 16 or more STR, your character will appreciate the beetle armor's light wieght.
