    Oh man! Reference or not, I'd blow the whistle on him after I quit. I've done my share of stupid things in life, but I NEVER cheated on my wife, or cheated on her when she was my fiancee.

    All told, the guy is a major sleaze. If they really do prepare to marry, I think you should tell the woman. Wouldn't you want someone to tell you if you were in her position? You may lose your job, but you will have your dignity and self respect.

    Hopefully, the online woman is really a guy. :D

    Situations when I got myself in trouble for refusing to bow to pressure became irrelevant after a month or a couple, or a year. Situations when I faltered and succumbed for my own convenience haunt me up to this very day. Can't forgive myself some of those.
