For a more *blatant* rip-off of Children of Bodom, check out Imperanon, also from Finland. I almost laughed when I heard it. It's magnificently played with technical precision, and boy does it sound like a CoB album. If you ripped the cover off, I wouldn't be able to tell!

    Yeah...the sell-out syndrome.
When some artist signs with a big company, they are often accused of being sell-out. And the signing of CoF with Sony was no exception.
I think that their overall sound isn't much different from what they were doing, so honestly i consider the word sell-out a bit extreme.
And even if they changed their sound...it's their life you know. That's the way they make their living. We have to respect their choices, if we don't like, we don't buy it.

Sorry about this, it's very late and i'm tired...

How does a death metal band sell out, anyway? It's not as though they'll ever be mainstream ;)

SleepleSS: If you like, you can download all the music from the MI-series from Scummbar.com. To have most on an album would be a good add to my stock. I really like to hear these tunes every now and then, but I made my own list. Slightly different.

    Thievery Corporation - Mirror Conspiracy
    Massive Attack - 100th Window
    Zero7 - Simple Things
    Morcheeba - Charango
    Herbie Hancock - Cantaloupe Island
    B.B.King - (Best of...)
Zuco 103 - Tales of High Fever
Alan Parsons Project - Eye in the Sky
    Aphrodite - Recordings
    U2 - Best of '80s
    P.I.Tschaikovski - Nutcracker Suite
Edvard Grieg - Peer Gynt Suite
Supertramp - The Very Best of ...

If I had to pick an island, it would be somewhere near the ones of Uytuun, DR, Chandos, Mesmero and Splunge. Since I never heared their music, I might as well visit Laiwethel and Takara.
