    @ Harbourboy

Cheers! Well we are stuck on an island after all, so variation is of utmost importance. No matter how ludicrous Bloodbath and Jewel side by side sound. I really like both CDs! :)

Metallica - S&M. OMG, Kitrax. This is the biggest show of disrespect one can have towards one's own art.

Now look at me for a well thought and balanced list - as not to affront Death Rabbit.

    1) Verdi - Requiem
    2) Pink Floyd - Pulse
    3) Fields of the Nephilim - The Nephilim
    4) Manu Chao - Proxima Estacion: Esperanza
    5) Metallica - ...and Justice for all
    6) Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine/Biomech (the best stuff Canada has to offer!)
    7) Death - Symbolic
    8) Iron Maiden - Life after Death
    9) Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
    10) Marduk - Panzerdivision Marduk
    11) Schubert - Winterreise
    12) Nick Cave - Best of (incl. Bonus Disc)
    13) Manowar - Hell on Stage

Hm, I left out Christmas Songs from Sinatra, Crosby and Cole... well, nobody's perfect...

Forget the CD's -- I want Ginger and Mary Ann. :D

Or Keira and an endless supply of rum ... no ... wait ... she burned the rum ... I'll stick with Ginger and Mary Ann.

    Mmmmmh...

    Okay:

Eurythmics - 3 CD's (I can't find them right now, so I can't tell what they are called)

The Secret of Monkey Island - The Soundtrack

    LOOM - Game Soundtrack

    Shrek - Movie Soundtrack

    DRAGONHEART - Movie Soundtrack

My self-made CD with lots of Monty Python quotes, and other quotes. Though the end is being cut off by the CD player, I can complete them, because I know them by heart.

Monty Python - Monty Python sings

Dawn until Dusk - Tribal Song and Didgeridoo -- by Adam Plack, Johnny (White Ant) Soames, William Brady & Luke Cummins...although I would prefer it to have my own Didg' with me...

The Dig - Soundtrack (not sure which of the two. Probably the "Additional Game Sountrack", which has 34 titles, while the "Original Game Soundtrack" only has 11)

    The Longest Journey - Soundtrack

The 8th of the CD's in the Mega Beat Box thingy we have...

    Yeah, that's about it.

Now if I had a computer with at most Win98, OR with WinXP and ScummVM, DOSBox, and VDMSound installed, THEN my choice would be a lot different...(I'd probably bring all the games of which I listed the Soundtracks...There's nothing better than adventuregaming on a lonely day...)

    In no particular order:

Lord of the Rings soundtrack (all three)
Afro Celt Sound System - Release
Afro Celt Sound System - Sound Magic
    Enigma - Love, Sensuality, Devotion
    Enigma - MCMXC a.D.
    Cirque du Soleil - Alegria
    Cirque du Soleil - Quidam
    U2 - Best of 1980 - 1990 and 1990 - 2000
    Santana - Abraxas
    Santana - Shaman
Loreena McKennit - The Book of Secrets
Loreena McKennit - The Mask & Mirror
    Gladiator Soundtrack
    Paul Simon - Graceland

And if anyone makes any comment on how similar my list is to Tak's, know that I introduced him to Loreena, Cirque and Enigma.

Oh go wine to some hard-core redneck Metallica fan who actually cares. S&M is a very good album...if you are too closed minded to enjoy Metallica and an Orchestra, playing some of Metallica's best songs ever written, then you are missing out. I actually like the S&M verson of 'Master of Puppets' and 'Of Wolf and Man' better than the origanl versions. :thumb: :rolling:

@Saber the Arsonist: :D Coconut boat sounds nice :p

The reason that it are only 13 CD's is because thats th amount of CD's that fids in my CD wallet :p

I did see Children of Bodom - Follow The Reaper in a few lists, but I don't understand since IMHO it was the worst COB album ever...

BTW my list is not all punk/metal but since there are a lot of band in it that arn't that well known people could easilly think so...

@Jazhara7: Where do you get all those game soundtracks???

There are so many kinds of metal that it wont get boring soon... I mean if you have both Nightwish and Cradle Of Filth with you, you would know exactly what I mean...

I will send you a PM about this. There were never any released on CD (at least no complete soundtracks with all the in-game music. And the Monkey Island Sountrack also got some interpretations of the main theme on it!), so it is a fan project called "Lucas Soundtracks". LucasArts seems to know about it, and does not mind this project (apparently).

And the "The Longest Journey" Soundtrack is available for download on the official homepage of the game (there was also one available for buying once, which had some extras)

I also consider some S&M versions better than the originals. Like all the Load and Re-Load ones and "Of Wolf And Man" (i hate the original version).
As for Master of Puppets...sorry Kitrax...but the original blows away the S&M-version!

    @ Sleepless

I really enjoyed Follow The Reaper, followed by Hatebreeder - couldn't stand the others! Something Wild was just a random shredfest and Hatecrew Deathroll was dumbed down and pushing into hardcore territory (mainly the vocals).

You have to try Norther. For me, their cds (mainly the last one) are like the lost albums of CoB discography. They are shameless. TOTAL RIP-OFF!!

I was not referring to Nightwish in my post. I merely caught a whiff of sell-out on the breeze.
