Ever heard of pride and honor ?

 

Pac-man has a point, after their goal keeper was sent out of the field (which by the way was no hands, it was unfortunate because the ref couldn't see that) and the 2-0 was scored they still didn't really give up.

But only when greece loses and spain vs portugal ends in a tie over 2-2 will greece fail to qualify. Not a likely scenario if you ask me.

 

If Russia beats us and Spain vs Portugal ends in tie (the score doesn't matter), we will advance to the next round because we have won Portugal. The only scenario, that will not allow us to qualify, is defeat by Russia with more goals than Spain's defeat by Portugal.

 

Damn, Switzerland down one - nil at half time. IMHO I think they were playing better.

They are playing better. We are playing quite poorly.

I ain't bothered if we play our worst game ever, as long as we win tbh.

Just need to nick another.

 

I really hate the commentators and the folk in the box with Des Lynam, biast bunch. They are always going on at how amazing England is, like their a Dream Team. It just really gets to me.

 

I disagree on that one mate. They don't go on about England as a dream team at all.

And England are a good team mate. Although playing poorly today. But lets not forget, the heat there is about 35 degrees C atm. That's unbearably hot. Just need to chill out and get a result. Thats all that matters.

[Edit: Ouch, really harsh red card. Even I will admit that. The first one was a booking, but that second one. Nah. Harsh red. Poor bloke.]

 

Theres no doubt England are a decent team, I just think their making them out to be better than they are IMO, it's also because they dwell on them. Whenever England play, they are much more focused on their line up and tactics, and you see very little compared to it of the other team.

One last thing, when do we get to stop hearing about England winning the World cup half a Century ago .

Yes a good game for England they played well. Owen sucks btw. Now tomorrow I can't wait to see Italy and Sweden.

 

Yes. The game between Sweden and Italy(suprise suprise, my two favourite teams) will probably be remembered no matter how it goes.

 

Anyone else think Rooney looks scaringly similar to Shrek?

2-1 to Croatia now. Wonderfull goal, that second one.

 

Terrible defending though. Dare I say that the French have a certain level of arrogance and complatency about their game?

I hope they come back to win though. Or our game with Croatia will be a BIG one. Rather not have that pressure.

It will be a big one anyway. You'll hafta win it or otherwise you're out, and that is if they draw or lose this one.

I hope that Croatia wins this one, England beats Croatia and that Switzerland win over France(not very likely) then France will finish as the last team in the group, where they belong.

 

How come Wayne Rooney couldn't score a thing in the Premiership then? He was useless in my Fantasy Football team but suddenly in these international games he turns out to be awesome.

Because he has more quality players around him I think Harbourboy. Plus, he's just a big match player. Great big match temperament.
I would say he'd do much better in a 'big' side. But I want him to stay right where he is, for a bit anyway. Don't want him ruined.
