Number of Characters for a new party?

    I had mentioned it briefly in another strand but was wondering about group composition at the start of the game. Is it recommended to start with less than a full party (6 Characters)? Aside from the obvious X.P. benefits from having only one or two characters, what other benefits are there? Are there some good NPC's? If less than 6 characters are recommended, what class should they be? Again, lots of question. Sorry.

    There are no joinable NPCs, so who you create will be who you play the game with. Most people have said it would be a difficult game to take less that 4 people on. I always play these games with all slots filled.

    I played through IWD the first time with 6 characters....then the next time with 4....then I decided to play it with 1 character, an Elf F/M/T...and it was GREAT! I highly reccomend playing this way...since you only have 1 character you level up fast, and it adds alot of excitement to the game. I had more fun playing solo than any other way.

    The first time i played IWD i used 6 char, the second time I only used 1, its funnier and harder...


    but i guess its better if u use 2 or maybe 3, and its much better if they are spellcasters... (i hate those dumb fighters who had like 22 points of strengh and 3 if intelligence)

    Yes it was SCARRRRRYYYYYY!

    But that was 1/2 of the fun.
    I really liked playing solo, which is obvious from all of my posts. My only regret is that I didn't play solo the first time I played the game.

    i like 2 have 6 characters, that way i can store more items.
    i played with 1 character b-4, i got killed by the goblins in easthaven(that was my very 1st game, i was rushin cause i wanted 2 have fun quickly. now i've beaten it with 1 character).
