    Hi Everyone!

I'm a new player who's more used to playing around with the Infinity Engine as opposed to the newer AD&D games. I finally decided to bite the bullet and try NWN2 (I haven't played 1, and my friends say I'll have more fun with 2... I decided to give 2 a try first).

I was able to get a copy of the original NWN2, MotB and SoZ from a good old-games store here in the Philippines, and decided to try it on my Windows 7 64bit System.

As the title says, I'm looking for some tips on the Best Install order, as well as which patches (if any) I need to install, where to get them, and if there are any community/fixpacks that are kinda standard to have.

I'm looking for a Vanilla experience, maybe a little enhanced if there are any romance mods to enrich that aspect (default characters only).

As of now, I've installed NWN2 (without 'Check for Updates'), installed MotB (without 'Check for Updates'), and finally SoZ (without 'Check for Updates'). afterwards, I clicked UPDATE on the launcher menu.

I have been able to start the game and play (as far as the tutorial part).

According to my NWUpdate, "My version is 1.20.1541 English". Unfortunately, I seem to have some trouble connecting to their servers (i'm on a bad wifi), so I was thinking direct-downloading offline installers (but there are so MANY!).

I also know from experience with BGII and PST that I should expect some fixpacks or tweakpacks that might be community-standard. Are there any I should download?

    Thank you again!

I recall having some trouble locating the patches. I can't help you much right now as I don't remember where I tracked them down.

One thing you might want to do is download and install DirectX 9.0c. Yes, you should have DirectX 11 from Windows 7, but you also need to install DirectX 9.0c as well. They are different and won't conflict. I had trouble with slow video under Vista until I installed DirectX 9.0c, and the same applies for 7.
