    This is my first time playing IWD. I put together my party, but I realized once it was ready that I didn't have a thief in the party. I know I need one, but what would you recommend I exchange out for it? Here's my current party:

    Bard
    Ranger/Cleric
    Fighter -> Druid
    Fighter -> Cleric
    Fighter -> Mage
    Paladin

    Also, if I exchange for a Thief, would you recommend I use a multi/dual-class? An elf Fighter/Thief using bows and sneak attack sounds interesting to me.

    Thoughts?

    I'd ditch fighter->cleric, since you already have a very similar (and IMHO better) character, ranger/cleric. Or vice versa, if you prefer dual classing. Fighter/thiefs are excellent in IWD; great snipers and they tend to survive in melee after backstabbing. Plain, single classed thiefs aren't that great and I haven't ever tried dual classed thief in IWD. You could also try thief/mage or cleric/thief, which can be extremely powerful.

    Take out either the fighter -> cleric or fighter -> druid. The ranger/cleric will fulfill either role quite well.

    I'd recommend a multiclassed fighter/thief.

    I recommend taking a multiclass thief. A good aligned gnome fighter/thief with 18/00 strength, 18 dex and con is the most powerful choice. The best helm in the game can only be worn by good aligned gnomes or halflings.

    I'd remove one of the priests, 3 is overkill. If you don't have the HoW expansion installed I recommend multiclassing the druid.
