Er, possibly, but not the show I'm thinking of.

The place it's set in is famous for a cop show in the 80's.

Ok, I give up. Show was Miami Ink.

Someone else start one, I appear to be bad at this.

You should just pick another show. Sometimes we all choose shows that are watched by a select few -- in those cases we declare victory, pat ourselves on the back and choose a less obscure show.

Ok, here's the most ridiculous softball ever.

A TV show about a man, his spouse and his children.

Well, THAT clue could cover about a zillion shows, but I'm going to go with The Brady Bunch.

    Er, no.

I'm tempted to give it to you, but it may be a different show.

Try again with a new letter ;)

EDIT: Alright, I'm gonna be nice and let you have that.

The correct answer was My Wife and Kids, and I'm gonna guess you meant that. If not, lucky you!

    You're up!

Gumby was the original claymation figure (waaaaaaaaaaaaay before those California Raisins commercials), but I'd hardly call that "action".

    It's more recent than Gumby.

    I don't think they've even spoofed gumby.

They also spoof a lot of celebrities...

Celebrity Deathmatch didn't involve action figures.

This show also hits Action figures of the 1980's...

    IJ time.

Although I generally dislike episode-specific hints, I think this one is well-known enough to be a super-softball:

    "No soup for you!"
