    No to both.

The show I am thinking of is the third one to use a variation of the title (the last variation left). The first two were very popular but this one died quickly - after 1 1/2 seasons.
For extra credit, name all three shows.

OOPS: Brain Fart! Sorry all. I think I mixed up two different shows. In "Too Close For Comfort" Ted Knight would draw a cartoon wearing a cow puppet on his hand. The show I was going for was "Bob" as in Bob Newhart where he was a cartoonist who created "Mad Dog". Now I don't remember if he really did wear a puppet also, but I think he did not.

    Freebie to the first poster.

    OK, for my Canadian friends...

    Casey and Finnigan

(Either show will do. But bonus points for the original.)

The original show was Butternut Square and the spin-off was Mr. Dress-Up.

    Neither of those.

Jack and Jill were not nice people.

    No that isn't it.

Edit: Wow, I didn't think this would be that tough. Jack of All Trades was the main villain in this series. He was a serial killer who killed in a vast assortment of ways. There were a couple of cross-overs between this show and The Pretender.

Something seasonal is in order, I think... Thurl Ravenscroft's other major TV role.
