    Wow. I must be subconsciously becoming more in tune with what you guys are thinking.

    In this creepy show, nothing made sense, not even the opening credits, which, although they sounded scientific, contained some dodgy "elemental" errors, and pretty much explained nothing.

    Not Quantum Leap. Not sure how to define creepy. Creepy as in eerie. Quantum Leap made more sense than this show, in that it is easier to explain him leaping back in time than it is to explain what the heck was happening in this show. Also, not sure what the "elemental" errors were in the start of Quantum Leap.

    I have never even heard of any of those last three shows so I can't tell you how close you are. We are definitely talking British science fiction and the "elemental" thing is supposed to be the main clue.

    You're kind of on the right track, but the key here is still the "elemental" errors in the opening sequence. "Elemental" being the applicable word (or not applicable as the case may be). The two stars (count them - it's another clue) of the show were much more famous for other roles.

    Never heard of Urban Gothic. This one is from the early 80s and the "elemental" thing relates to the periodic table type of elements.

    DarkStrider is right. The opening sequence of these show babbles on about heavy transuranic "elements" not being used where there is life, then goes on to say that "Sapphire" and "Steel" have been assigned, neither of which are elements at all.
