So as I mentioned a few weeks ago, my wife has decided to join the US Military, and I thought I’d keep a blog of the process.

We both agreed that the Army National Guard would be the best branch of the military for her to join because of the jobs they offer, the close proximity to several bases, and the $20,000 sign on bonus. :money: When we went to see the local recruiter, we got a list of jobs currently offered, and the wife has settled on MOS 15X - AH-64 Armament/Electrical Systems Repairer (read: fixing an Apache helicopter). The problem is, you have to be really good with electronics to qualify for the job…so I’ve going to have to give her a crash course in basic electronics theory before she takes the ASVAB test.

Right now she’s been studying like crazy to increase her chance of getting a better score on the ASVAB.

I’ll post updates as she moves along the path to joining the US Military. Feel free to comment along the way.

    As a small update...

I've printed up a bunch of study guides on math so if she wasn't studding hard before, she is now!

Since the MOS she wants to get in to requires knowledge of electronics, I've been trying to ease her in to the subject, since it can be overwhelming at times. My goal is to have her know the *basic* theory...like Ohm's Law, and a basic knowledge of some electrical components before she takes the ASVAB.

So the military thing has been put on hold...indefinitely most likely.

I'll update this blog should things change.
