See Undertaker's post, remove the occasional hard rock and that's pretty much what I listen to as well.

    None taken, MoN.
Actually, I do have plenty of other bands I like, too. Was just at the top of my mind at the moment.

Yes, the lyrics are cheesy. Very cheesy. At times exceedingly cheesy. I wouldn't have called the melodies cheap though- OTOH their guitar solos tend to sound very similar. Playing so fast tends to leave little room for appreciable change, this also applies to the drums.

I would like to point out that they are good live though- in a small area packed with people, they are very good at what they do. It isn't meant to be intellectual, or dark and gloomy; Dragonforce are simply there to have a good time (and drink lots of beer).

Trance - Tiesto's sets are unbeatable!

Indie - Kasabian, Snow Patrol, The Automatic, Feeder, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Coldplay - great stuff.

House - Some wicked funky house tunes knocking about. Not too hardcore though, can't be doing with that.

Some rock music, like Nirvana and the Chilis, but there's lots of it I don't like.

    *sniff, sniff*

Smells like a bashing thread. Silly people, don't you know opinions are like certain orifices?

I'm mostly a metal guy. Pretty picky. 99-point-something per cent of every genre is stuff I can't be bothered with. Note that that's not "of genres", but "of every genre."

I listen to bit of everything, except what I don't like. :D

It's easier to list my dislikes: RAP, punk, RAP, acid rock, RAP, metal, RAP, sappy stuff (e.g., Air Supply), RAP.
