I am trying to complete the game for the first time. When my party enters the ducal palace, the short movie of entering the palace plays. Then, after about 3 or 4 seconds of game play, the movie plays again. And again. Over and over.

Has anyone encountered this or something similar before?

Probably something wrong with the area script. When you first get in there, it should do something like this:
    Code:
    IF
    	Global("EnteredPalace","GLOBAL",0)
    THEN
    	RESPONSE #100
    		StartMovie("PALACE")
    		SetGlobal("EnteredPalace","GLOBAL",1)
    END
But if the variable didn't get set, the movie would loop ad nauseam. For the moment you can try this cheat code:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("EnteredPalace","GLOBAL",1), but in the long run you'll need a new area script. If you don't have any mods installed, I can e-mail you a fresh copy.

Well, I tried the cheat code and it hasn't resolved the problem. Time for plan B. I don't have any mods installed.

I'd need your address; the board e-mail doesn't allow attachments. If you're worried about other people seeing it, you could just PM it to me or e-mail me through the board first so I could just respond.
