MOTB - Book of the Waves doesn't reduce ASF? -- RESOLVED (via toolset)

    Arcane Spell Failure is not being reduced for my Rogue/Wizard/Eldritch Knight/Arcane Trickster with Book of the Waves in his inventory.

    I can't seem to find any articles on the net where someone is reporting a similar issue. Does Book of the Waves reduce ASF for you as it's supposed to?

    My Eldritch Knight Chain shirt is giving me the -20% arcane spell failure chance, as it is supposed to. I was hoping to switch to the Imaskari Battlemage Armor, but even with this book in my inventory I'm still at 10% arcane spell failure. I tested that it wasn't just a glitch in my character's information display by casting a number of spells until one finally fizzled. I SHOULD have 0% ASF.

    Have any others had this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can work around it?

    kevL over the the Bioware message boards modified the file for me. I imported into my override directory and now all is well. The issue is that the item was set to only give the arcane spell failure reduction if it was equipped. Since you can't equip a book, the benefit was never received. Now it is just by having it in your inventory, as intended.
