[IMG] Can anyone help me? I have been playing Baldurs Gate,BGII, Icewind Dale, and Planescape:Torment. What is a mod, how do you get them, and how do you install them? This is coming from someone who hasn't figured out how to get cheat codes to work. Please help!

[IMG] Here is the link to every single Infinity Engine mod. Each one comes with instructions on how to install it in it's .Zip folder. It is labled "Readme".

Once it's downloaded, read the readme, and either extract all the files into the proper folder or run the .exe file. And then, Voila!, it's usually done at that point.

However, if you do want to install BG Tutu or a TC, you might have to search the boards for the appropriate topic.

    Hope that helps a bit.

johnnybravo, mods are fan-made expansions (of any size) to these games. It can add new items, spell, creatures, quests etc. to your game, and much more.
The term 'mod' is the abbreviation for 'modification' or 'module' (the father of the Infinity Engine game file research and modding prefers using 'module'; I think it's pointless to argue over it, I find both names acceptable)

The best place to search for mods is the Infinity Engine Mod List, as Rednik already pointed out, also providing the appropriate link.
Additonally, let me introduce the the greatest center of IE mod downloads, the
Infinity Engine Game Modifications and Conversions (IEGMC). You can find more than 90 mods there, it is especially useful if you seek for huge mods.
