As I have Cut Down on my posting due to exams I'll make this toppic my 1. priority as it has sparkled my interest for BG2 again.
You wrote Mission Impossible But wont play a wizard slayer?
It is an an Adventure beyond any comprehension. This is truly
    I will take the challenge.

I can only play a few hours but later toninght "ETA 6 hours" I'll Write chapter 1 of the Impossible missions of the wizard slayer copyright Slappy TM.
But I need a name to this poor fellow. Any suggestions? Else I'll call him Retsnimle the reverse of Elminster. Pretty uncool name but he wont survive that long anyway. But thats life in a mission impossible. :D

I wish I had time to begin this Wizard-Slaying race to the death! But I can contribute a few names appropriate for a Wizard-Slayer:

    Skelos
    Chunder Shan
    Ashe
    Fenor
    Fragil

(The first two are from Conan, #3 from Rhapsody, #4 from the Silmarillion, #5 from a box in my living room). I used to go through the books of Kings & Samuel in the Bible to find good names. Ever have a Cleric named Senacharib or Zerubbuble!?!)

Right now I am roleplaying Retsnimle through the game.

He has read some books and I think by some time he will take the name Grummsh. He doesn't know Yet. But thanks for the inspiration. Perhaps he will call himself that some day. heck! I dont even know ;)

Enjoy rent-a-smile! He sounds like he would have needed a little help reading those books, even with pop-up-pictures.

Should be fun - but watch your grades! I'd really hate to see your exams go down the tubes they way some of my work has b/c of these stupid games ;)

I'll watch out ;) He will probably be dead soon anyway. (back to exams) as I am roleplaying him. not powerplaying him.

Yes Restnimle Just looks at pictures for now. hehe :D Cant read that super. In the story he was only affected by pictures, anyway.

To Slappy: Imoen just stands and waits outside. quite noble of her.

I have decided to start as an Avenger.
Personally i think it will be just as hard a play as the Wizard Slayer.

I took note of how low the saving throws would be and how crap at fighting i would be.
He has that horrible penalty to cons an to str and although he can shapechange you really can not do it often enough.

I will get seriously pounded by mages (Nobleman as the name suggests will not) and fighters wil deck me aswell.
Druids are great in a party because they can heal people and because they can provide missle support and the occaisional offensive or summoning spell but on their own they suck!
    B
ecause of the low level which i can reach my thaco will be ridiculously high and i will not be able to save against many attacks.

Personally i think that it will be just as hard to survive with this kit as it would to go with a Wizard Slayer. I may have healing spells but most of the time i will be dead before i get he chance to use them!

BTW the Beastmaster is reasonably crap but his thaco and saves would still be too good.

BTW2 I will not write out my journey as i am doing exams right at this very week!

Any opinions on this compared with the Wizard Slayer.

Hey, I think Nobleman has exams too! I'd suck it up, let your grades slip, and post a detailed journal! ;)

Seriously, just let us know how far you get! I'd be curious.

I salute You. You have accepted a mission impossible. I look Forward to Your evaluation. I can only say that Retsnimle is still alive. And I am Roleplaying just to make things even harder.

When he dies I'll terminate the project. As I said I am only in it for the challenge if its roleplaying.

All My blessing on Your Avenger Journey :)

A Wizard slayer CAN use restoration scrolls which is kind of interesting for a solo player. There aren't that many in the game though.

The Avenger is the best druid kit!

    - Sword Spider shape change is excellent early on.
    - Insect Plague neutralize mages.
    - Iron Skin and Conjure Fire/Earth Elemental are superb spells.
    - The extra mage spells are all extremely good.
    - Max 16 strength. You can use Girdle of Giant Strength or Gauntlets of Ogre Power. (The initial 16 max strength might be there to stop you from dual classing to a fighter.)
    - Max 16 constitution means nothing since any higher than that is useless to a druid anyway.

You'll probably use summoned elementals alot and back them up with spells and your sling.
THAC0 will not be good, especially not later in the game since you max out at level 14. AC and HP's should be good enough though.

I think the Shapeshifter kit is the hardest of the druid kits to solo since you can't wear armor and you depend heavily on the werewolf shapechange (when shapechanged you can't cast spells).
