    @RotKU - Thanks. Like I told Tal when I sent in my dough, I finally managed to wrestle the PayPal password out of my wife. Seems that PayPal will only link one e-mail account (and password with it) and my family has one credit card - which my wife got to first.

    I had been meaning to do this long before now but finally got around to it when work calmed down to a moderate frenzy.

    I figure that I am on this site almost every day and derive some pretty sizeable enjoyment from it. Why the heck shouldn't I send in some money to help it run? (I'd send more, but the taxes suck the life out of me . . . I shouldn't get started down the off-topic path or we'll have to move this to AoDA where I can start a libertarian thread for Laches and I to swat away attacks by everyone!)

    Ok, ok.... Well, I donate to SP regularly throughout the year, every couple of months or so. It's the least I can do to help out, since I spend just about every day here. I don't like taking things or people for granted....and we all know that's so easy to do. We come here, we hang out with our friends and we just assume it'll always be here.....we forget what it takes to keep this place here. I try to make it a point not to. And, yes, I have a job that allows me to make sizeable donations....but whether it's $2 or $200, it's the thought that counts and it all adds up to the same thing...we're helping to keep SP here.

    Geez.... I'll get off my soapbox now.... but Rotku you asked for it! :D

    [​IMG] Not really. All the donated money goes to an account from which the server costs for SP are paid every month. I don't know where people get the idea that I'm getting rich from this... The server hosting costs alone are $140 every month. Not one time, every month. And that's just one of the many expenses of hosting SP and 3 other sites. So I find statements such as yours Virne, even if meant in jest, insulting.
