    Aessinus and Zaknafein of NWVault managed to attend A-KON personally and have written a special report on the Mask of the Betrayer presentation they got a chance to observe.

    Amongst other things, Josh Sawyer revealed that:

    The setting, as previously announced, will stray from the FR Coastal regions utilized for TotSC, BG, IWD, through NWN/NWN2, and will happily be Rashemen & Thay. Since this moves to a more Eastern, spiritual setting, four new races are being added. Four distinct Elemental Genasi, per the Wotc FR Campaign Setting, become available the the PC.

    The planar influences add NPC flavor in the form of a Red Wizard of Thay Companion, early on; later a half-celestial and/or fiend described as "One of Many", which apparently can influence the PC with it's dark nature.
