Ehm... str based char.

I made a monk. str3 perception10 endurance4, charisma2, inteligence7, agility10, luck5

Skills: unarmed, evasion and thought protective magic.

Right now she's level 6 does about 9 damage per hit(trait for -20%damage, more criticals) and hits 4times while the enemy strikes and misses once.

I made her AC and lightning fast(though not that strong) char.


All in all the game is easy. It doesnt really matter what kind of char you make as long as it has some kind of melee combat capabilities.

Yeah, my advice: If you're playing a one-hander guy(my other char) go and find that secret hidden magic street. La calle pardida is called. There's one hell of a onehanded sword there

 

Got my hands on it and installed it, had a first peek, like it and I'll probably start it next week, probably on monday

 

Downloaded the demo. Not impressed. Might buy when patched and price down.

 

Okay PLayed for some time I must say I'm realy disapointed finally... My char is a mellee based char having 96 AC and 55 and One handed mellee, one hander trait, the trait -20% dammage but more critical, Tag skill in one handed mellee and I still must do this patern:

saving-doing fews step- getting kill-load buffing char- getting killed- Load again, buffing more- still getting killed- load AGAIN- buffing like mad making prayer- yeah! kill a few monster-saving doing fews step...

MAN I just hate this! I get killed soo many time in a row with a mellee char for what?! entering a stupid cave and guess what? getting killed again! yeah!



this game like too many, give you the feeling they give a unfisnished product, more like a 60 bucks demo...

 

I finally got the game yesturday!
It seems great!
I've decdied to play as a thief character, even after what everyone is saying about taking a melie character through first. Some of the combats are a bit difficult, but that's to be expected.
The dialog is great. It must be one of the first games I've played where speech skills have a big affect on the game.
The henchmen thingys are pretty pathetic. I've had three different ones so far and they are all the same.... apart from that bear, it seems to die after one hit by a goblin.
The main problem I've faced was a point where the game kept crashing. I ended up reloading way back and having to change my course.
So far I'd give it an 8/10

Has anyone found this hidden street thing?

 

Yeah, go to Leo's workshop and play CECCA on the piano. Be sure to loot everything here since it got some good stuff. Now ask him about the other factions and magic users. He should tell you to go to the herbalist in Gate district. I can't remember if you get the amulet right away but equip it once you have it and go to the western most wall in gate district. It should be transperant.

 

Well for all those interested, the 1st patch is finally out. You can hit the link down yonder to d/l it. I still haven't finished the game yet, but almost there. Maybe this will make the game more bearable.

This game is even more disappointing than NWN.
Atleast NWN I managed to play right through without giving up.
The best part about the game, which is great, is the speech options. But even that should be more.

 

Most dissapointing areas are that "battle" areas that are full of enemies to fight and almost nothing else to do. If i want to play something like that i would rather choose diablo

 

You're right. Although all RPGs have that, including BGs, there where to many in Lionheart.
