i think a lot of you is forgetting alignment is just a guideline for how the character would react to most situations and that its always split in two. and that a characters overall story and agenda allways playes a part in whatever choice the character has to make.

Take Edwin, he is Lawfull Evil, yet betrayes a lot, which isn't particulary lawfull, does it make his alignment wrong? no, first of betraying might be unlawfull, but its deffinetly evil, secondly when you combine lawfull and evil, you get a character who twists the rules to his benifits, but tries to stay inside the rules...for as long as they serve him. A lawfull evil, will kill, betray, steal your land and so forth, he will in most cases try to do it Legally, but if that fails he will break the rules, do to his evil part. And in that aspect edwin fall quite good.

Korgan is Chaotic and evil. the diffenetion of a neutral chaotic is one that goes from one ekstreem to the other, like a madman, while a chaotic evil, funely enough is mainly evil, but the chaotic part can easely swing him up to do some complete none evil action based on his story.
So there is nothing wrong with a chaotic evil, who for some reason dont like the idea of child slaves and women being threated wrong, it falls under his more chaotic nature.

remember its guidlines for how to view a char and how to act it, its the not ment to just be a liment to actions.
