I have personal experience with a medication that messes up the mind. I am in no sense of the word a suicidal person. Life is very precious to me but when I had a bleeding ulcer I was a placed on a medication that caused serious mood changes. For the first time I did contemplate suicide. It scared me and I found out from my personal doctor that it was probably the medication. I had asked the doctor at the hospital if there were any side affects and was told that were none.

Be very careful about medication if you feel that it changes you in some way double check it and do not let the medical experts mislead you go by your own instincts you know yourself better than they do.

My heart goes out to Kit's family.

Hey all - I received a card from Kitrax's parents in response to the gift sent by the Community. Here's the full text:

    "12-12-10

    To All From Sorcerer's Place,

Our hearts have been touched by your concern for us and the love you have for our Aaron. We were truly surprised to learn of your generosity. The $800 check will be used for Aaron's grave marker. Your kind gift will pay for half plus. We want to do something special for our dear son. You have made this possible.

We are doing well - we laugh and smile at some of the experiences Aaron had. His love of life and his goofy sense of humor. We also miss him. To be honest with you - our strong belief that we will be with Aaron again comes from our knowledge that Jesus Christ is the Savior of us all. We have been so blessed by the holy spirit - "the best comfort." If you are wondering - we raised our 5 children in the LDS (Mormon) church.

Kenneth and I extend our love and appreciation to you all. Thank you.

    Della & Ken Buzard

P.S. The marker will not be placeable till March. We hope that a picture of his grave would not offend?"

Maybe I'll scan the card later and put it up on the Sorcerer's Place Facebook page. Thanks to everyone's generous donation! Happy Holidays!

    ~Sir Bel

I just came back to SP to check in on everyone and... I am stunned, and horrified. I can't believe this happened, and I am so sorry for his family and offline friends. I had a few interactions via FB with him, and he was a great person - amusing sense of humor (slightly off the beaten path), and dedicated to his friends and family. I wish this had not happened, this makes me (and I am most certain his family) very sad.

I am glad to hear the words from his family, and I wish I could have been here to contribute earlier.

Kit, you will be missed :bad:

Just read this thread. Holy crapoly! I really apprecited him on these boards and automatically read any posts I seen of his, which almost always made me laugh. I have used some of his guides and they really helped my pc-noob butt out.

    RIP dude....:goodbye:

That was a nice read, Bel. Thanks for sharing. :)

It's good to see the parents are doing well. And as a Christian, it's nice to see people on the other side of the globe that know where to get their comfort.

This is terrible, I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened this thread and the horrible truth reached my mind...

A few years ago, when I first saw the happy SP album photos of Kitrax (including a trip in the Bahamas, if I remember correctly), I thought: this is the true American dream so many people dream about in many parts of the world. He looked so happy in those photos. His loss is horrible and painful.

It's not only the time, there's the sheer number of occasions that I've caught myself thinking: "well, there's a problem I'm not sure how to handle... I wonder what Kit'll recommend," when I've seen people posting in the Techno-Magic forum. His contribution is very much missed, not just the man.

Haven't really been on these forums much within the past year but just came across this..

Just wanted to say that I hope you're doing ok wherever you are bro. We didn't really know each other very well but I knew you were a nice guy. Everytime we spoke you seemed like you were enjoying life immensely.

Don't really know what to say here.. But my thoughts and prayers are with you as well as your family and friends.

    Rest In Peace Kit

Just the other day I saw a guy that looked a lot like Aaron... wore his facial hair the same, had a very similar stride when he walked, wearing a hat (it was rare to see Aaron without one of his hats on) and it made me a little sick. It brought back all these emotions and just hurt.
my girlfriend said maybe that was his way of saying hi :) that was comforting to think of it that way and seems like something Aaron would do.

Miss you more than I thought I could ever miss a friend and I hope we meet again buddy.

    -Tyler

I haven't been on SP much at all in the last few years (in fact I've probably only posted half a dozen times since I started my uni degree in '08) and was shocked to stumble upon the title of the tread - Kitrax had been such a huge part of community here when I used to frequent the BGII and tech forums. He was unwaveringly helpful; I'd based much of my early computer habits (especially in regards to spyware removal, and HDD cleaning on his guides in Techno Magic- even to this day!), and his presence in the BGII forums (along with many other helpful SP'ers) helped me derive hundreds of hours out of the game. Kitrax was definitely a huge asset to the community, I definitely felt a pang of regret at the thought of him leaving it.

I then proceeded to open the thread and read through the following 11 pages, I'm completely shocked - I can't say I've experienced too many things that have shaken my invincibility complex, but this is certainly up there - that a seemingly so well adjusted young man could take his own life is incredibly scary.

May you rest in peace Kitrax, thank you for all the help and advice over the years.

To the rest of the SP community - I have to commend you all on your response, all of the above is amazing.

Just noticed this topic and damn, it's a bad way to go.

However, something I learned when my best friend killed himself two years ago was that if anything we must respect his decision as it was only his to make.

    He shall be missed.
