[IMG] Has anyone else killed Everard? and what happens if you kill Hrothgar....what do you get for it? I know that the game is sort of over....but you can keep the stuf by exporting the character....so what do you get? Everard gives some really nice armor

    Hrothgar has:
26 pieces of Gold, Plate Mail Armor, Medium Shield +1 and a Bastard Sword.
    Everard should have:
21 pieces of Gold, Full Plate Mail +1, War Hammer of Sparks +2, Boots of Avoidance and Potion of Healing.

Everard is a 7th level cleric and is difficult to kill. He has 92 HP an AC of 0 and a THAC0 of 12. And he also has a resistance of 20 on missile weapons and over 30 spells he can cast. He is a lot tougher than Hrothgar, but does deliver 5000XP though.

Killing Erevain Blacksheaf is easier, he is 'only' a level 3 fighter and the most interesting thing he has is "Erevain's Broad Sword". It does 2D4+2 damage gives a THAC0 of +2 offers resistances against wands and acid. It's a large sword and it's a real bonus for a fighter.
Killing him gives you a penalty ofcourse in your alignment (like killing any of the townsfolk in Easthaven or Kuldahar), which might cause a paladin or a ranger to loose it's special status.

    [IMG] Don't bother killing Erevain...
When you reach Dragon's Eye (sublevel 3 I think) you'll find his body being watched over by a phase spider. Kill the spider and take his sword. You can read his journal as well.

Yeah, but that takes a while when you just start out in Easthaven. The first decent swords you can get will be in Kresselack's Tomb: Kresselack's Sword and the Phasing Bastard Sword +1, which are both greater swords.
When your fighter is specialised in long swords you can only get a Long Sword +1 (also in the tomb) before you get to the Dragon's Eye.

Anyway, I believe the penalties are relatively high in killing anyone in Easthaven or Kuldahar, but if you want to be an evil party roaming the Dale, why not?. And when you are in money trouble, the sword has a base price of 5000 (It will be somewhat less if you sell it, especially when you are evil).

Just one point here. When you get to loot Kresselack's tomb, you defintively get his sword, but the other sword will be random. I've gotten Turodahel and a Fine Longsword +1
from the tomb. Everain's broadsword is usefull however against Yxoneimai(or whatever her name is :D ), because she can't be hurt by swords less than 2+.

[IMG] I don't remember an Everard or Hrothgar, and I never saw any sparking weapons. Maybe I killed them without knowing their names. Who/where/what are they?

Yeah, it might be a long time ago to remember something like that :).
Everard is the guy in the temple in Easthaven.
Hrothgar is the guy who first meets up with you in the tavern at the beginning of the game (also Easthaven) and is the same one who wants you to come with him and his party to Kuldahar.
