Keyboard problems

    I don't know if this is the right place to discuss Technical Problems, but if its not, bump me.


    Well I noticed that in NWN2 my keyboard is not responding to camera controls or hotekeys; I did let me access the console and alt+tab, alt+enter to minimize and switch to windowed mode.

    I have a full install of both expansions and the latest patch; no modules installed. I am running WinXP SP3 & DirectX 9.0c.

    I did however find a workaround: instead of running nwn2main.exe, I ran nwn2main_amdxp.exe and amazingly my keyboard is working in the game.

    I don't know what the difference between the two .exe files is, neither why my keyboard is unresponsive in game via nwn2main.exe.

    What camera controls are you referring to? The home/end/page up/page down/etc keys?

    What hotkeys? I don't have access to any windows hotkeys once nwn2 is loaded.

    The amdxp executable is supposed to be for AMD Athlon XP CPUs. I'm not sure the specifics, but it's supposed to be optimized for it, since the game is very hardware intensive and the Athlon XP chips weren't very good.
