I am an exp roleplayer of 6 years in P&P D&D and can play any class and any alignment. So give me some suggestions please. Thanks.

I prefer chaotic good alignment for it gives you some leeway in what you do.

well, if you want a character with the most bang for your buck, you can't go wrong with a cleric/druid type character. The first BG has two tomes to permanently give +1 wisdom plus one additional can be found in the TotSC expansion. The other stats only have one tome each as far as I know. So you could import a valid character into BG2 with 21 WIS. I'm playing BG1 now with that goal in mind. :)

I found that a fight/mage is rather good for your first try. you get to use the spells and a sword, and that is very nice, and seeming that you play it through the original you get most of the decent spells and levels, and then you get the added effect of having the extra spells from bg2.
