Just a quick question on Weidu mods

    Hello folks, I wanted to reinstall BG2+exp and try to add some mods to spice it up a bit :)

    Now I see many mods that are "weidu" marked.

    Now do I have to do some speciall install before or can I just extract them/install them as normal?

    Avoid non-weidu mods. Download and install Weidu mods only, after a full install of the game and appropriate patches and fixes. (Baldurdash etc)

    When you download a mod, it either has an auto installer which installs all required files to your BG directory. You MUST then run its exe file to actually start the installation. Weidu will then ask you to install components you like. Other mods come in a rar file. Just extract all of the files to your BG directory and run its exe file as well. It works like magic!

    There's no need to avoid non-WeiDU mods if you know what you're doing and/or aren't installing a large number of mods at the same time.

    As Tal has written, you don't need to avoid a mod that you find tempting, just because it's non-weidu. Just ask for more information about the possibilities, possibly the installation order and guidelines.
