[IMG] I have been reading more lately, and my die hard authors have become boring. So I got daring and picked up a novel by a few authors i have not read before.
Jennifer Fallon is one that I actually picked up book 2 and 3, then searched for more.
The Harshini Trilogy is my favorite although very female orientated the world and characters she creates can last for novels like the dragonlance trilogies. The series continues or preludes into the Wolfblade series. I look forward to reading more of her works and have began reading the Second Sons trilogy, I highly recommend reading these novels. :) ;)

She's decent. Maybe even better than average. That's about all I can say about her, though; she ain't a patch on Erikson, Martin, Hobb, Donaldson, Cook, etc, etc.

OTOH, if you're looking for something along the lines of Salvatore, I guess she's a pretty solid choice.

Another author I picked up on a whim was Nora Roberts of all people. For years I assumed her writing was romance type love crap. I picked up Morrigans Cross Book 1 of the Circle Trilogy around Halloween, it was new and said Vampyres. Although the celtic twist caught my eye. What a great series!! Sure there is romance and sex and gushy stuff in there, but also celtic mythology, vampyres, violence, magic, time travel what more could you ask for!! I was very surprised and I am now on book 3 The Valley of Silence
