Here are today's "Jefferson" project forum highlights. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context.

    J.E. Sawyer, Lead Designer

Random Encounters: Yes. Some will be hostile creatures, some will be neutral creatures. A bad reputation in some areas can make an ordinarily neutral encounter into a hostile one.

Animations: On a related note, there are about 125 priority 1 animations for PCs in Jefferson. There are 125 priority 2 animations. They are unique to each sex. Add those suckas up, and that's 500 PC animations. Hooray.

Quote: I just wondered if the NPCs in Jefferson are going to have items only usable by themselves. There were plenty of those in BG2, which I hated. I mean, how silly isn't that? What makes me unable to wield a sword I know how to use? does it repel from my hand or what?

There aren't too many NPC-specific items in the game. However, some characters dislike using/wearing certain types of gear. One guy may object to wearing clashing colors or anything of poor quality, for instance.

Quote: ...and the devs actually interacted with the fans and answered their questions IN DETAIL? I guess we can dream...

We are not allowed to talk in detail about the unannounced projects on which we are working. Interplay is a public company. This has been stated possibly over one hundred times between the previous boards and the current boards.
