Is it possible to start a new game in later chapters ?

If I recall well, you could start a game in any chapter you wanted in Neverwinter Nights (once you fniished them of course). Is it still doable in NWN2 ? Cause I'm currently in chapter I with my first character and would like to start a new game soon, but the beginning of the game is boring as hell... So if there's a way to avoid it, I'd like to know.

Don't think so... perhaps with some sort of console cheat, but even with that, I'd be concerned that your quest log would not be sufficiently up to date, and that you'd miss out on a lot (equipment, ore deposits, etc). I'm sure a lot of this could be worked around with yet more console cheats, but my advice would be to just tough your way through the early game.

You can, at the very least, skip through the tutorial section of the game :)

Maybe it's possible if you play multiplayer and switch out a chapter 2 main char save with another character. Not sure about that, but worth a try :) .

Yeah, it would be nice to skip some of the game, I only get really into the game once I get into Neverwinter itself, but I don't think you can.

I haven't taken a look at it in the toolset, but I'm guessing the three chapters are separate modules (that's how NWN was). You could open, say, chapter 2 in the toolset and save it under another name. Then load it as a module ("Start New Module" instead of "Start New Campaign") and play.

But this game is soooo linear that you'd probably encounter a boat-load of bugs.
