installing patches

    i have heart of winter but i have yet to install patches for iwd & how. my problem is:

    how do i install them?
    do i have to uninstall how and do iwd patch, then install how and do how patch? ...or
    can i just do both patch without unistalling how?

    [​IMG] If you have HoW, you only install the HoW patch, nothing else. It's an executable and pretty self-explanatory once you run it.

    Installing Heart of Winter probably fixed all the problems in the normal Icewind Dale installation.

    Yeah, HoW patches the heck out of IwD. It's like v1.41.

    Heh, then TotL patches HoW to v1.42.

    Trials is the latest patch for HoW, so if you're looking to fix bugs, gotta install that 70meg job.

    And I'm not really sure you can 'uninstall' them. If you have the space, you can have as many versions of the game you want. I have one version that is pure IwD 1.06, and one that has TotL loaded. You have to use a "patcher" so that you can play without the cd, in this case. But it's nice because I can nuke the entire os/clean install, and IwD is ready to go without me having to install it all over again.
