I just recently decided to collect the Baldur's Gate games. I went ahead and ordered BG I from the internet, from the Interplay store, but I had a problem when trying to install it. Autorun pops up and it says
"windows cannot run 16-bit application insufficient memory, please close some programs and try again"
    Well...

    I have 512 DDR 333 RAM
    2.4 Ghz Intel
    Windows 2000 service pack 4
    Ati radeon 9800

I thought maybe my computer was "too much", but I'm not really sure what to do or what the problem is. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks

Have you tried to play it on win98 or xp ?
It could be because of win2000 that you can't play it.

And really.. Buy your games through SP :)

and btw. Welcome to the Boards!

With a sweet-action machine like that you should run XP pro. Anyhoo, try re-installing it and screw around with the options, such as how big an install, different drives, etc. Who knows, maybe something will jiggle loose.
