 ARGGGGGGHHHH! Sorry, just letting off some steam. TOB won't work and now THIS!:

K, there has been some sort of corruption or something to the Docks area file. Everything was fine, then I go to the city gates, getting ready to travel to the D'Arnise Hold, as I go there i have the bandit ecounter with the poisened Harper etc. So I head back to the Docks to take the poor guy back to the Harpies, I mean Harpers, EXCEPT I can't because when the loading screen comes up for the Docks it will either get Halfway then stop and some error message will come up, or it won't even begin and some error message comes up.
To combat this I copied my save files and re-installed the game. This time round I did a full install, but SURE  ENOUGH, when cd2 was loading the Docks area file in the install setup, the disk starts making those "I'm about to give you a big problem buddy" noises and an error comes up and install can't continue??!! Whyyyy?
    Help please. Thank you kindly.

your Docks area file is corrupted. Either get another disc 2 or download the file AR0300.bif (I believe that's the correct file for Docks) somewhere and put it in your cd2/data/ folder.

Sounds like a good idea. So where would I download the file then?

From anyone that has it. :D

Just try re-installing it once more, cleaning the CD, and checking that the area-code really is ARO300 before asking for it from the net.

Of course, if you aren't afraid of GIAA coming to hunt you down... ;)

Is that area file in the override folder? try removing it, if it still doesn't work reinstall the game.

Worked for me once, then again I think it was me that killed it in the first place.

Gehn, okay then; what is the name of the file and how big is it? I have BG2 with ToB installed at the moment, so I might be able to send it to you via DropLoad.com -if it is under 50 megs.

Thanks alot Wirhe, i'd really appreciate that if you could tell me how to do it. AREA030A.bif is its name, I think i'll need AREA030B.bif too though. The first is 22.5 megs, the second is 8.30 megs. Sound ok?

Yeah, found two copies with different sizes. The first ones were double the size, and the second ones just what you described (zipped those). PM me your email and I'll send them coming -takes about five mins to do that.

I've got some kind of issue like that, but, this happened to me in the Yaga Sura's room, the area after those fire giants, the problem is that I see all the room in red, I can't see anything, no traps, no nothing, still, enemies and things are there... Tried to install again, the same happened, so I just thought that I can replace the area file but I don't know what or where find it.
Sorry Gehn to post my issue in your post but since I read this I remembered what happened to me so I took the chance.
    My best regards
