I'm wondering, how does hp work for lvling up in muilticlasses. I have a fighter mage thief with 17 con, and he's lvl 2/3/3 I think, but has 30 hp. If it did the first nine lvls, which I thought it did, he would have 10+10, for fighter, 4+4+4, for mage, and 6+6+6 for thief, which is 40, not counting any con bonus. I do have max hp per lvl up on, so I'm wondering if it's a bug, or I just don't know something about how hit points work with m/c.

Since you are a three-ways multiclass, your gained hitpoints get divided by 3 and rounded down. So, you get 3 hp max/level for being a fighter, 1 hp for mage, 2 hps for thief levels. Also then all your con bonus are added and divided by 3 and added to your hp.

at least this is exactly how it works in BG2. I would assume IWD is the same.

That is the way it's calculated. But don't worry, if you are soloing a F/M/T hitpoints, as well as anything else, won't be much of a problem after a while. MUHHHHAAHHAHAHAHAH
