How do you upgrade the Mace of D?

    It does give you auto-stealth allowing for a "hide in plain sight" ability, right?

    Yes that is why I think it is still very useful. You can use its invisibility to stop a mage from casting a spell on you for instance (he starts casting you click to go invisible and his spell fails which works even against truesight since you can click on the staff after every use of true sight). Still its invisibility ends as soon as you equip something else so you cannot use it for direct back stabs. you could use it to get away so that you can equip a new weapon and then use stealth out of sight of the enemy of course.

    Its ability to dispel on hit is also useful. As long as you can hit the target you can hit just to remove your targets buff and then use other weapons to deal damage.

    The skeleton warriors that mages can summon from lvl 15 (clerics from a lower level, I think) were never immune to their devour brain in my experience. Maybe they are supposed to be (would make a lot of sense), but my skeleton warriors always go down after one or two hits by a mind flayer.
