hm, sarevok CAN close a door, this must be a new development, well anyways away with the bs that i usually add to my comment, since it seems to be getting me into trouble with the higher ups.

I honestly see no reason that you need to rest other than to be top notch for this fight, you shouldn't have to lure anyone out, if you get to use your party, and your a child of bhaal, why shouldn't sarevok get his little party of 4, you get 6 total characters.........seems kinda unfair to lure them all out just to take sarevok 6v1.....or with summons 60v1.........

I think the end fight is incredibly hard and so every advantage I can get I take.

Let's face it, the only way you're able to get the better of Sarevok is because of his awful scripting. He'll follow one NPC endlessly even though it's others that are inflicting damage on him. He's ruthless in melee but he'll concentrate on your summons even if they're not causing him any harm and completely ignore the rest of your party. And his henchmen are even worse. Semaj once killed both Tazok and Angelo with a fireball spell.

Someone ought to do a mod one day that would make Sarevok think and turn his henchmen into decent enemies.

but then what new cheesey tactic would most of you need to think up to get the better of him, pitfalls, manholes in the floor covered with grass in an indoor temple...............i can see it now!

    Manholes. I like that idea!

Personally I'd dig a couple dozen of them right outside the temple and wait for Sarevok and co to come out. As soon as they do, they'd fall in the manholes and I'd run over and belt them before they could climb out.

Of course, they never leave the temple but it's an interesting idea...

oh lord, david w i did not mean for that to turn into the next cheesey tactic, especially with all the dripping sarcasm i had on that statement.........but now that the wheels are turning in my mind you could put a bunch of regular steel weapons in the bottom of the manhole pointing up, and thus impale sarevok, or at least prick his ass and cause him discomfort.........

In my own defense, I should state that I didn't start using a horde of monsters on Sarevok and co. until about my third or fourth try. I tried fairly different tactics on Sarevok my first three tries, but my company was just so low in level that Sarevok himself could usually wipe it out completely, nvm that he also had his own buds to help him out.
And when I say I had a low level company, I mean it. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure only one or two characters were of 6th level, and the rest were all lower. Suffice to say I got tired of loading, and decided that as a child of Bhaal, I should be allowed to control my own horde of enslaved monsters.
The scariest part though, is that Sarevok single-handedly killed almost all of my monsters, as well as Coran and Khalid and he almost killed my PC, before he finally succumbed.

You can't rest inside, and if the battle has begun, you can't leave as well.
