    I read this from the Bioware website, regarding HoU

    "Epic levels allowing for characters up to level 40 "

    Does it mean that we can continue with our previous characters?

    Then how about those SoU prestige classes? I finished SoU with a lvl 13 Arcane Archer. So is it possible to play the "epic level"?

    My understanding is that any character can be taken into HoU, even Prestige, and advance to level 40. You might find the information you want here .

    The story is ongoing from SoU, but the ones that has not played the SoU campaign will be able to play anyway there will be some sort of introduction or something. And there is an automatic level up to lvl15 when you begin to play HotU, There are modules community created ones that were designed to transfer your SoU character over to HotU.
