I liked it -- aside from very small bits, it was quite true to the book (the way Voldemort died was one very slight way in which it WASN'T). Even so, it was pretty realistic (for Harry Potter), and I loved the Quidditch special effects!! :D

I read the books, so I had to see it, despite all the hype. It was well worth it, I think. It was really visual, and the plot while not straying too far from the books, remained accessable to both kids and grownups. The character portrayls were great, too. Usually, that's what dissapoints me when books are made into movies.

Heh... a hasty evaluation is the best way to miss the point; you might have LIKED it, had you read further!

You're missing out. I thought Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon started out really slow too.

Now, it would be different if you were talking about that Final Fantasy movie or Episode I...

Maybe we can all celebrate the Man in the Yellow Hat And His Monkey's freaking anniversary, too! Then we can move on to Clifford and the Bernstein Bears and oh, maybe a little Barney television on the side...THEN we can go back to Harry Potter, you know, start over with the easy ones...

  11. When i read LOTR i were GLUED to it.:book:
Not same thing with Harry Potter.

The movie sucked. They just cut out so much important stuff, like starting and ending and Harry meeting Malfoy.Overall:0.:nolike:
