Holy ****! Last episode was something I haven't experienced in TV or movies since Empire Strikes Back in 1981 when i was eleven. I watched it with my wife and we couldn't believe what we saw. We really didn't see it coming. We just stared at the monitor our mouths open and then whole thing was crowned with end credits without music... Then we looked each other without a word in complete silence. Blunt, brilliant moment.

I'm an idiot with no discipline, so, naturally I spoiled what was coming up for myself a long, long time ago by reading ASoIaF wikis and message boards. So I'd girded my loins in advance.

But it was still shocking nonetheless. :rolling:

My wife and I usually watch it together (and she hates violent shows, so God bless her for it), but I stayed up last night to watch it on my own without her, since she knew I was so looking forward to it. This morning I was like "yeah, trust me, you don't wanna see last night's Game of Thrones. You will find it way too upsetting. Seriously hun - it will ruin your sh*t." So she made me do a verbal recap to soften the blow.

Plus also... Grey Wind. Saddest part. Because poochy. :(

When I read the books and Martin killed off Grey Wind, I can say I was actually sad. I was really hoping for the Direwolves to have a big role in whatever Martin has planned for the Others and the North in general. I jsut wish he would get the next book released! You can't just write great stuff and then leave us hanging. He can be a real doucher.
