Umm, there are some Lebanise around, but they are tending towards the whole 'bro' and 'hip-hop' scene more so than the Snoop Dogg rap scene.

No, the only time I hear people talking like that is in here.

The youth of ... now ... only speaks the language commonly known as "Stupid". And guess what? My translator just broke.

What on earth should "For Shizzle dawg my nizzle" stand for? I can see dawg being derived from dog which apparently stands for homey which means friend. But other than that, the brainfarts that produced the rest of that line is too random for me to follow.

I happen to find people who use words such as "dawg" to be exceptionally intelligent and unusually attractive. ;)

If someone values not being struck with my 'Rod of English Edumacation' then such language shall not be spoken within earshot of yours truely.

The english language is complicated enough without these bastardizations from the unholy unions spurred by Afro-Americans.

Oh, relax. I abused language when I was a preteen/teenager, as I'm willing to bet most (if not all) of us did. The fact that it is both irritating and unintelligible to adults is exactly why they do it. If you stop being annoyed by it (or better yet, try to use it), they'll get bored and move on. :)

Argh! I can't resist having to comment on 'txt msg speak'. It is not original to txting it has only been made more common due to the rise in txting (due to extortionate txt prices and limited characters). It is a slaughtered derivative of 'chat room abbreviations and lingo/jargon' which is itself a more commonly used and understood extension of l33t (original l33t not what people now think is l33t, i.e txt talk :grr: )

Rant over. (This is because I made the same points, in more detail, about 15 random babbles ago since it's a personal peeve point).

And now time for a joke, by moi:

Q: What were people before mobile texting?
    A: Ltr8

What is the point of "expressing yourself" in a way that nobody else can understand?!

Surely, if you are concerned about restrictions on your freedom of expression, then you would want to communicate in the form that is going to be understood by the most people?

That is, after all, probably the only point of having a consistent standard for spelling and grammar (within each language of course).

They understand it so saying 'nobody' understands it isn't quite correct. Would be more correct to say that you do not understand it. And it is how languages evolve. No language stays the same for to long. For example compare english two hundred years ago to now. The differences are numerous, and it is doubtful that a person from then would be able to understand what any of us were saying. Also most languages have different dialects, so almost no language has completely consistant spelling, pronounciation, and grammar.
