    Scotch isn't only from Scotland

    The Japanese are producing several really top notch scotchs. Israel is also making some top self scotch which I have yet to try. As I understand it this was due to the import tariffs coming into those and other countries.:confused:

    Thank you Blaclthorne. I'm sure you're right but I feel its going to become a generic term like Jello or as you mentioned Champagne and all that ilk. When I was in Japan and ordered scotch I got Suntory scotch.:cool:
