What is your favorites ending theme to a movie?

One has to be the ending song to The Matrix. After his phone conversation, and it going into it, it just gave me the chills.

My other one is Gotta Knock a Little Harder. It is the ending song to Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door. I can't really discribe it, but it is just a great song for that movie.

[IMG] It's hard to beat Rage Against the Machine busting out at the end of the Matrix!!!

The only one I think that compares is the end of Star Wars, EPisode IV.

Besides the LotR score, I'd have to go for "A Love Before Time" from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Very moving and major goosebump time.

The ending song on Monty Python's Meaning of Life. :D The (old) Star Wars theme. The LotR theme.

I agree with the first Matrix, but my favourite is the end music to the Tom Clancy movie I forgot the name of with Ben Affelic (sp?) in it I don't remember what it's called or even how it sounded but I remember that I loved it.

    @Xei

You reminded me of the ending song to The Life of Brian.

"Always look on the bright side of life, da da, da da da da da daa daa."

I swear, that song was stuck in my head for 3 or so days afterwards. Means it doesn't really have the chills effect of some others, but any song that gets stuck in your head for 3 days had to be good. Right?

Well the end theme for the Two Towers still gives me the shivers. But I just bought the new cd for the return of the king and Annie Lennox gives a great performance.

Still anxiously waiting for the release :)

personally, i thought the theme tune at the end of the matrix revolutions was awesome, better than any RATM song could be.

where is my mind at the end of fight club is cool.

and the Gary Jules cover of Mad World at the end of Donnie Darko is a brilliant way to end it (even though it isnt really credits)

its wierd that song is a single for this christmas, considering the movie is nearly three years old now.

Dare Devil has an awsome soundtrack, the ending song being one of Fuel's (of a name I can't remember at the moment).

Three kings, ending theme: In god's country by U2

Most brilliant song and very good ending to the movie.
