Error running in Windows XP

    Thanks for the quick responses. I have installed the basic game and patched it. I couldn't do a full install (had to do recommended) because of errors during the install.

    It's installed, but it won't run. From the main dialog, I click Play, and the screen goes blank for about 30 seconds, then I get the following error:

    Runtime error!
    Program File: C:bad:program files\black isle\baldurs gate\bgmain.exe
    abnormal program termination.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    UPDATE:

    Never mind. I spent some time on the Black Isle tech support forum reading the posts. My disks were badly scratched (I think my brother used them for coasters when he borrowed the game). I made copies of the disks and now it works fine.
