Looks like it will come down to Ohio.If Bush Wins Ohio I don't think Kerry can catch him.

If Bush wins Ohio, but Kerry gets Nevada(He's leading there) and New Mexico, there is gonna be a 269-269 tie. I forget which, but either each state gets another vote, or it's settled in the House, but either way, Bush will win.

It all comes down Cuyahoga county. Columbus Ohio may yet win this election for Kerry and the whole world.

It's eerie to see the blue and red map almost exactly the same as four years ago. It means that for all the big events, all the rhetoric, and all the politics of the last few years - nothing has changed. There must be a "moral" in that somewhere....

Sheesh...if Kerry won, I was prepared to be gracious. They've called Florida for Bush and one oultlet is calling Ohio for Bush. Also, they are calling New Mexico for Bush...I think it's game over.

The magic number for Shrub in Ohio is less than 200,000 votes for Kerry in the Cleveland area. They are projecting 190,000 at this time. Ohio is what Flordia was last time. It's still very close, but one has to think that Shrub has the next four years.

If Bush gets up in Ohio, then you can stick a fork in Kerry - he'll be done. Between that and New Mexico, that's Bush over the line.

Bush must want to kiss Osama for September 11 - it looks like he might get away with his complete incompetence after all. All because the majority of the United States is too stupid, simplistic and devoid of critical thought to force that moron and his administration to stand up and admit they made mistakes. I'm absolutely disgusted by this - they crap on about being the greatest country on the planet and can't even think outside of their own immediate interests. It makes me sick.

    Bush 249 - Kerry 207
    8 States to go...

I think Bush is like Menem in Argentina, everybody was against him, everybody said they wouldn't vote for him, but in the end, he won again.

This isn't like watching a sport, it's like watching reports from a war. 'Bush has taken Florida! Ohio shall be next to fall! But Kerry may yet lead a counter attack through New Mexico and Nevada!'

I can't believe Edward's statement that they would "fight for every vote". There is no State where challenges could change the outcome...except perhaps for Bush. This is low and near traitorous.

And Non Sequitor...you don't even deserve a response.

Hacken Slash, you're the one who doesn't deserve a response. Non Sequitor is dead on.

    @ Hacken Slash/Ankiseth:

Guys, it's just my opinion. I'm dismayed that people in the US have proven me right. After what happened in Australia, I had hoped that I was just too cynical. You're entitled to hold whatever opinion you want of me and my thoughts - for what it's worth, Hack, I can understand your sentiments; I have two Canadians and a New Zealander telling me how much my country sucks every single day.

    @ Hacken Slash:

I submit that I may have gone overboard here, and characterised everyone who doesn't agree with me as an idiot. Believe me, that is not my opinion; I think that people who focused on particular issues at the expense of (my definition of) the big picture are the problem. I'll even retract the comment about the economy - I can't prove I'm right. As for the rest of it, Hack, show me where I'm incorrect and I'll not only delete it, I'll publicly apologise for my libelous statement.

249 bush 242 kerry at this moment. If bush wins Ohio, Kerry will need all the rest of the states to tie. Could be intersting.

It actuallly seems that it isnt close, the networks are just so cautious to not repeat 2000. Apparently fear is a bigger voting motivator than reason.

It doesnt seem to be all that close, all the numbers that are out show Bush won it pretty confidently. The ghost of 2000 just stops it from being called.

NonSequitur, way to hit the nail on the head on that one. Why does it seem like the cities, which are the areas that really should be concerned with the "War on Terror" vote overwhelmingly while places like bumf*ck, Indiana vote for Bush?

Because they believe that Kerry will take away their bibles and destroy all guns in America and put them under a catholic rule governed from France.

I don't blame them, though, since they was told this repeatedly by the Republicans and are too stupid to look it up by themself.
