You may be right... But you still don't *need* to kill the Doomsayer to keep the idol. You could just as well chicken out.

And indeed, that sword is a power that should never have been unleashed upon the lands...

Wildfire, the only thing you get is the Satue iirc. The Vampiric Sword you get when retrieving the ancient armor to the Ghost of Ulcaster.

Ok, we are both right... wildfire.

You need the Idol and the Ancient Armor... to retrieve to the ghost.

And you indeed HAVE to kill the DOomsayer when you wanna have the idol, unless you wanna run away and reach the edge of the map before the Doomsayer kicks your ass, but Namuras, real heroes like Wildfire and I don't run away

Nor do I, but someone might want to play a Sir Robin sort of character.

Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin.
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin!

Isn't the Vampiric Sword cursed or something like that?

Yes, the sword is useless. I posted its stats in another topic that came up recently.
