Its in Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy too. I am sure I heard it in my EasyListening of the BBC 1978 radio serial. I confirmed it with google.

Anyway its indeed a small world. Zork is produced by Infocom in early 80-ties. Infocom also produced the Hitchhiker game by Douglas Adams. Its a small world and google makes it smaller.

I always talk to myself. When I'm walking, playing on the computer, studying, sleeping(kidding).I always talk to myself whatever I do. And now my self tells me to study for my Italian lesson which starts in 15 minutes. S***T

 

Some people actually do talk to themselves in their sleep! I have been known to do that too.

 

If you're talking in your sleep, maybe you're talking to someone in your dream...Is that different from talking to yourself?

Well, yes i do talk to myself.
I chose to talk to the wises around me.
I talk to my self when i'm copying out notes or solving maths problems or ... well most of the time really. But i talk to other "people" just as much, most of the time they don't usually listen though, but thats not the point.
And talking to your self makes you insane? certainly (note the sarcastic tone), maybe talking to trees and brick walls, but talking to your self i say is a sure sign of sanity not insanity (spelling?)

Mithrantir, your case is very serious. From what I can see you have suffered a head injury thus making you...hmm how can I say it...insane, crazy. You think that you are talking to someone while this someone is yourself. I suggest you should take this medicine three times per day -morning, noon after lunch and night right before you sleep. Come again in one week to see you.

Talking to yourself is fine ... as long as you're listening....

 

Talking to yourself is something completely natural and common. So everyone rest assured that you're not crazy(with the exception of Mithrantir hehe ).

 

talking to inanimate objects can often yield impressive conversation.

 

This of course could happen when you're insane but when you're OK in your brains then why's that?
