I must say I am disappointed with this game. It just plain boring. There is basically zero R/P, the NPC's stink...it's just hack and slash and open a million boxes and chests. It's like Diablo2 without the fun of playing with other people. No dialog like in the BG series. I find it to be bland and void of personality. I got partway into act 2 and gave the game up...wish I could get my money back :nolike: Now I know why there are so very few posts here.

    Welcome to the club.

Thankfuly, there is multiplayer, where NwN makes up for official campaign. Also, there are a gazillion of fan made modules out there, if you prefer to play alone.
You cannot say you gave NwN a chance if you hadnt tried these two options out, besides official campaign. Which is, by majority of opinions, the worst of the three.

Well I play on a Mac...I doubt the fan made modules will be compatible. Is the multiplayer PVP or is there RP and teamwork?

There's countless servers - I have "light RP, hack & slash", "Light RP" and "Arena" servers in my favourites, ALFA is RP-heavy...

And the custom modules are most likely compatible... though, most need the expansions.

(The best part of multiplayer is IMO PW's - Worlds where you play a character as a "part of the world". They range all the way from Multiplayer PvP to heavy roleplaying worlds.)

Thanks...I guess I'll have to try the multiplayer.

The campaign feels like a rest from the heroism of the BG or IWD saga, to be honest.
